This study is important in this age at this time. Given the explosivel rate information is being discovered, students often do not bring the background information they need to learn new information and understand it. Further, with the advent of technology, some children are finding it more difficult to go from words to visualization. This study looks at several uses for video as well as guidelines for its use. Study highlights use of video in education

Educational videos lasting 10 minutes or less may be the optimal length, according to The State of Video in Education survey, which highlights trends in video use in schools. Data also show a majority -- 91% -- of respondents believe video can boost student satisfaction. T.H.E. Journal (6/9)
