In some schools, use of the internet has been limited to the small amount of time in school for some and unlimited access for those who can afford wifi. Here is one school district's attempt to equalize access to the internet and learning opportunites. YEAH! Coutesy of ASCD SmartBrief

Calif. district adds Wi-Fi to buses, parks them near students' homes
A disadvantaged school district in California has outfitted two school buses with Wi-Fi, then parks the buses at night near the homes of students without Internet access. Officials estimate it will cost about $290,000 to install Wi-Fi hotspots in all of the district's 90 buses. The Hechinger Report (12/23)
