Mo. teachers are encouraged to use technology to engage students
Administrators in a Missouri district addressed teachers before the start of the school year, encouraging them to use technology and innovative techniques to reach students. Teachers were advised to use social media, such as Twitter, and other resources relevant to students. "Now, Google is the new library and anyone with the ability to get connected has the ability to access information from anywhere at any time. Learning is no longer confined to the classroom," said Brad Hanson, superintendent of Monett R-1 School District. The Monett Times (Mo.) (8/12)
