Helping high-school students develop 21st-century skills
A recent Gallup survey shows that many high-school students are not being taught 21st-century skills such as collaboration and real-world problem-solving. Gallup worked with Microsoft Partners in Learning and the Pearson Foundation to poll 1,014 people ages 18 to 35. According to the report, the respondents who were asked by teachers to apply their school lessons to the real world had an increased likelihood of excelling in their careers.
