Learning for AP or for all students?

A high-school English teacher in California has adopted open-source learning -- described as a new take on "inquiry learning or passion-based learning." David Preston, who teaches Advanced Placement English and Composition courses, uses blogging, videoconferencing and collaborative working groups as part of instruction.
